My favourite memories of Pete were the time at the Star Trek Convention in Manchester, I had just moved to the area and Pete and a group of his friends were going there to the Convention. Pete was so kind to me that weekend, helping me get booked in to the hotel and meeting the group, now I think back it was actually one of those "sliding doors" moments in my life because it is where I met Ian, who would one day become my husband, who was there in Pete's group of friends.
Growing up Pete and I were cousins but in the same family home - I remember the Mastermind and Mah-jongg games, staying up late talking, and going outside to look at the stars and the meteor showers - a love of astronomy that again was shared with Ian. I hope you have met up with Ian wherever you two are now, fond memories.

Dear Pete, I'm so sorry to see you go. Although we drifted apart in our later years we shared a happy but somewhat chaotic childhood were you always looked out for your little sis!
I sincerely wish I could have had the opportunity to say a proper goodbye but you will always be in my heart and in my memories.
